Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 6, 2026
This policy explains how Product Bulk Editor (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when a Shopify merchant installs or uses the App.
1. Information we process
We process only information needed to provide the App:
- Shop information, including the permanent
myshopify.comdomain and Shopify identifiers required to authenticate the shop. - Encrypted Shopify access and refresh tokens used to make authorized Admin API requests.
- Product, variant, collection, price, tax, inventory tracking, location, and inventory quantity information requested by the merchant through the App.
- Change-job and rollback information generated when the merchant submits a bulk update.
- Limited technical information, such as request timestamps, error details, IP addresses, and browser or server logs, when produced by our hosting and security systems.
The App does not request access to customer, order, payment, or checkout data.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate the merchant, display and search catalog data, perform merchant-requested bulk updates, show job progress, create rollback records, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, secure the service, and provide support. We do not use merchant or Shopify data to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
3. Legal basis
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform the service requested by the merchant, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as protecting the App, preventing fraud, and maintaining service reliability.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information or use it for behavioral advertising. Information may be processed by Shopify and by hosting, database, network, logging, or security providers that support operation of the App. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a business transfer. Providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services.
5. Data retention
Bulk-update backup records are retained for up to 30 days to provide rollback functionality. Shopify credentials and shop configuration are retained while needed to operate the installed App. Technical logs are retained only for a reasonable period needed for security, support, and service operation. Information may be retained longer when required by law or needed to resolve disputes.
6. Security
We use HTTPS for data in transit and encrypt Shopify access and refresh tokens at rest. Access is limited to systems and people that need it to operate or support the App. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information processed.
7. International processing
Depending on the merchant's location and our service providers, information may be processed in countries other than the country where the merchant is located. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
8. Privacy choices and requests
Merchants may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of information
associated with their shop, subject to applicable law. Merchants may uninstall the App to stop
future access to Shopify store data. Requests should include the shop's
myshopify.com domain so that we can identify the relevant records.
9. Children's privacy
The App is a business service for Shopify merchants and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
